Because of my faith in God, Easter means so much more to me than bunnies, eggs, and chocolate (although chocolate has always been a part of our festivities!). Easter reminds me how thankful we can be to know that we are loved by God. In fact, He calls us His friend. And because of Him, we are never alone and there is always hope for the future. Although it’s always a little difficult to contemplate Good Friday (just thinking about what Jesus went through for us), I always anticipate the joy of Resurrection Sunday. Take THAT, death! We don’t need to fear you!
With Easter weekend comes family, friends, and fun. My goal is to be sure the house is fresh and clean, and there is plenty of food to go around. My sister and her family are coming up Friday, and later, my cousin and his wife. And a friend from church. So it will be a houseful!

ReplyDeleteNot as extensive as yours. Faith and family are at the top of the list. We will have fellowship with our friends at church, but food will be taking a back seat because my wife is doing a medical fast in preparation for surgery that she will undergo next Friday.
