Fresh is best.
Some of the best tortilla chips I've ever tasted are made right in our very own city. Fresh Is Best tortilla chips are crunchy and light, and full of flavour. No other chips measure up to those.
This reminds me of the Israelites wandering in the desert after leaving Egypt. It wasn't long before they were grumbling, missing the food they remembered enjoying back home, quite certain they were going to die out in the wilderness. God then caused quail to fall at night and manna to appear after the dew each and every morning, (except the Sabbath), and instructed them to gather just enough for each day (no hoarding allowed) and extra the day before the Sabbath. If they gathered more than they needed, the extras would rot. It seems that God believed fresh is best, as well.
He promises that His mercies are new every morning. A fresh encouragement for each day sounds like a good thing to me right now.
Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22, 23

I don't think they have those Fresh chips here, but they do sound delicious. I am so glad the Lord's mercies are new every day in so much abundant supply!
