Winter Wonderland

My, we've had a lot of snow lately! Snow can be a lot of things... fun, wet, cold, dry, treacherous, compact, fluffy, inconvenient.. But mostly, we must admit... snow is beautiful.

Dear hubby has been sick with a bad cold for the past few days, but today was the first day he suggested we go out and do something. We decided to invite an elderly friend out for a Sunday drive to have lunch at the Quaaout Lodge on Shuswap Lake, about a 45 minute drive from here. Snow laden trees and hills makes for a pretty spectacular drive. I completely forgot to take pictures at the Lake, but here's one en route.

And here's one on our drive to the coast last week..

Here's our driveway during a snowfall...when I'm glad I don't have to be anywhere but home!

And here's a picture of our backyard (and beyond) the day after a snowfall.

We certainly have enjoyed a Winter Wonderland these past few weeks!
