I've been really avoiding updating my About Me on the sidebar, but it really is time. The thing is, whenever I look at it, I'm reminded of the change that has happened in the last 6 weeks.
I won't go into detail here, because I've shared this enough times with friends, but our dear little chi Enzo passed away on December 7th after a prolonged seizure. Those of you with beloved pets know how hard it is to say goodbye to them. Let's just say, I still think of little E and miss him daily. I guess having his photo on my phone homescreen can account for that, in part, anyway!
Last year, I commissioned a friend to create a cut paper art print of a photo I sent her, and then I framed it. I'm so glad I did that. This little guy found a place in our hearts and in our family, and that won't change.
It's always hard losing a pet especially one as loved as Enzo. You'll know when it's the right time to change your info. Well I guess you'll have to update it soon because of the new grandchild. Hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet Enzo. As a dog person, I know how hard it can be. Congratulations on the expected new arrival:)
ReplyDeleteI love how you call your soon to be born grandchild - your "freshest" grandchild. What a sweet term! Excited for you all and early congrats to all!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the loss of Enzo. I know how much you loved him and the special bond you and him had. What a great art work done of him! I know you will always treasure it. He will always have a very special place in your heart and I know you'll be thinking of him for the rest of your life. The place they make in our hearts is so void when they have to leave us :(
